Next Generation Electronic Volume Correctors - The MICRO-Z Family

The MICRO-Z family is a series of nano power, high performance electronic volume correctors intended for high accuracy natural gas metering, telemetry, data logging, data acquisition, and control applications. These products may be deployed in hazardous locations and feature Ex ia protection for gas group IIC.

All products in this family, in addition to their superior volume measurement and flow computer features, are equipped with powerful telemetry and communication capabilities. They are easily interfaced with other field devices by means of their I/O channels and communication interfaces, to form a powerful and intuitive natural gas metering system.

MICRO-ZMAX is the dual-stream member of the product family, and offers full hardware and software features. MICRO-Z1 is the high-end single-stream version, while MICRO-Z3 is the medium-featured product with fewer options. The Micro-Z5 offers the lowest cost, while being equipped with complete volume conversion features and similar communication capabilities.

What is an electronic volume corrector?

Electronic volume correctors, also known as EVCs, read pulse signals from a gas meter, measure gas pressure and temperature, take gas composition into account, and calculate the standard volume (corrected volume) of gas passing the gas flow meter.
